George-Axelle Broussillon Matschinga

George-Axelle Broussillon Matschinga is a global inclusion and gender equality leader with over 20 years of experience across France and the United States. A French native, she is recognized as one of the early pioneers of diversity and inclusion management in France and was named one of the Top 100 U.S. Diversity Officers in 2021.

She began her career at L’Oréal, where she helped shape the Group’s first global diversity strategy and led its deployment across Europe and the U.S. Today, as Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Sephora U.S., she drives a holistic strategy embedding inclusion across workforce, customer experience, and business practices. Since 2020, her leadership has contributed to industry-recognized milestones for Sephora, including the 2024 Catalyst Award and EDGE certification, and to the launch of the Mitigate Racial Bias in Retail Charter, now signed by 86 major retailers.

A thought leader at the intersection of business and inclusion, she co-initiated the Encyclopedia of Diversity Management in France in 2012. In 2024, she co-founded ADWIN, a AI-powered platform aiming to empower African and African-descendant women globally.

A graduate of Harvard University, ESCP Business School, and Sorbonne University, she advances the concept of Strategic Inclusion Governance (SIG) through a 2026 scholarly edited volume under her direction—a framework positioning inclusion as a core governance lever for sustainable business growth.
